What a wonderful little treasure. An old fashioned soda shop in the back of an independent pharmacy. We had the Reuben with fries and onion rings and a chocolate malt shake. The food was delicious and the shake was outstanding. Will definitely be returning to work our way through the menu.
Drove past this place and decided to stop by after seeing the “burgers, fries, shakes, and fresh limeade” sign. Glad we did! We were greeted warmly by Steven. After looking at some of the photos on the wall, we got to asking about ‘em and he gave us a nice little history about the place! The food was great! We got the root beer float, chocolate shake, bacon cheeseburger with fries, egg sandwich with onion rings, and a hot dog with chili, mustard, and onions. We demolished everything. Everyone was friendly and service was quick. Will definitely be regulars at this place! And the fact that it’s combined with a small pharmacy is awesome. There’s arcade games behind the booths. There’s also board games and card games to buy, as well as wines and beers. They have a cute little candy section and of course miscellaneous pharmacy items. They also sell the funniest, most unique cards for special occasions. Check it out if you have the time!
I’ve just found my own cozy breakfast diner and it’s amazing. I was enlightened by Steve, the man who brought the place back and now has it on the map where it’s been since the 50s with a long tradition. The cooks are hard-working and very good at their craft. I’ve been back to back and will continue if you’d like to sit down at an ole school diner check this place out.
Great little diner attached to a pharmacy. We had a Ruben with onion rings, a club with fried pickles, and an order of pancakes. All were terrific and the cherry limeades were fantastic! We will definitely be back again soon!
I've really enjoyed eating here over the past year. I think their she crab soup is some of the best in Tidewater!! Their limeade is so good too!! And their sandwiches are amazing!!!
This cozy diner definitely deserves 5 stars. All staff were so friendly, kind, talkative and helpful. I ordered one cheeseburger and a lemonade, my boyfriend ordered a cheese and ham sandwich and also a lemonade. Everything was great, and the prices were very good!. You also get to customize your food. They really get to try and know their guests and give them the best experience. I’m just a tourist from Denmark, so I needed some extra help and they didn’t hesitate to help me at all. Don’t underestimate this wonderful place. Will be coming again for sure!
Omgee. We stumbled across this place by happenstance, and I am SO GLAD we did!! The food is homemade, the portions are great, the people are friendly and kind, and the whole experience was just amazing. It's located inside of a pharmacy. I'm full and satisfied, and already can't wait to come back again.
This is an awesome, hometown diner, that's been here since the 1930's! Home-cooked style food, with great service, and atmosphere, at extremely fair prices. Some of the best She Crab Soup in the area!!!
